Beschrijving

This table provides the income inequality between private households in the Caribbean Netherlands; the islands of Bonaire, St. Eustatius, and Saba. Inequality is summarized by means of the Gini coefficient and 80/20 Ratio.

Population: The population consists of the people in private households with income observed. The reference date for the years 2011 – 2022 is December 31 of the year under review. The reference date for the years from 2023 onwards is January 1st of the year under review.

Data is available starting from: 2011.

Status of the figures: The figures for 2011 to 2021 are final. The figures for 2022 to 2024 are provisional.

Changes July 15, 2026: The reference date for defining the population has from year 2023 onwards, with the start of the poverty statistics and in alignment with the EU-NL income- and poverty statistics, been shifted from December 31 to January 1st of the year under review. This had a slightly increasing effect on the incomes.

The revised provisional figures for 2022 and the provisional figures for 2023 and 2024 are added.

When will new figures be published? New figures are expected in September 2027.
