This table contains information about the average distances for residents of the Netherlands from their home address to the nearest facilities (e.g. school, GP or library). The table also includes information about the number of facilities located within a certain distance from the residential address. These data are calculated as an average over all persons in the area.

The data is available at different regional levels. The lowest level is the municipality.

Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final.

Changes per May 2024 An additional analysis of the figures for reporting year 2022 showed that these outcomes are not in line with the previous years, due to changes in the used GIS software. Since the recalculations of the data will take some time, the current figures for 2022 are retracted, until the new figures are ready for publication.

When will new figures be released? At the beginning of summer, the recalculated figures for reporting year 2022 are expected, as well as the first figures for reporting year 2023. The district and neighbourhood figures for 2023 will appear in a separate table.
